Enlarged pores. How to deal with them?

Enlarged pores. How to deal with them?

Factors that affect them:

  1. Skin type
Owners of oily and combination skin usually complain more about enlarged pores. This is because these types of skin require more sebum removal.
  2. Age-related changes
The amount of collagen and elastin in the skin decreases with age, making it more flabby and stretched – as a result, pores become more noticeable and enlarged.
  3. Improper care
Using oily cosmetics that clog pores, excessive use of alcohol-based drying agents, etc. Use care products that are specifically designed for your skin type and your needs.
  4. Ineffective cleansing
Neglecting high-quality skin cleansing before bedtime and regular gentle exfoliation leads to clogging of the pores. As a result, dirt and dead cells fill and enlarge the pores.
  5. Sun exposure, acne, improper diet, heredity, and hormonal imbalance also affect them.

How to combat them:

  1. Skin cleansing
Regular skin cleansing helps remove dirt and excess oil from pores, which can prevent their enlargement. It is recommended to use cleansers with salicylic acid.
  2. Exfoliation
Helps to remove dead skin and reduce pore size. It is recommended to use gentle exfoliants, such as alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs).
  3. Mask application
Applying masks can help narrow pores and improve skin condition. It is recommended to use masks containing clays, charcoal, or AHAs.
  4. Moisturizer application
We recommend not skipping daily moisturizing and nourishment of the face. Lightweight textures that do not clog pores and do not leave a feeling of greasiness on the skin may be suitable for this purpose.
  5. Use of retinoids
Retinoids are derivatives of vitamin A and can help reduce pore size by improving skin regeneration and reducing sebum production.
